Applying Split Coil from Design Criteria
Split coil allows users to select a refrigerant condenser and then evaluate the capacity of that condenser with a glycol split circuit included.
Use this tool to quickly and accurately size split coil condensers that use a compressor head cooling loop, or for other glycol cooling requirements.
Evaporative Condensers only.
Split coil should only be applied to single unit selections, and will not work on multi-unit selections.
Split coil may also be applied after the unit is initially selected. See Applying Split Coil From Accessories for more information.
If the glycol circuit criteria is known, it can be entered as part of the initial search. This way, all units in the Results grid will display a thermal capacity with the glycol split already factored in and applied.
To include the glycol circuit in the initial criteria search:
- Navigate to Condenser Criteria search.
- Select the desired product line(s).
- Enter the required condensing capacity and condensing temperature.
- Select Add Split Coil.
- Enter the glycol circuit criteria, and click Search.
The split coil criteria fields appear.
The Results grid will only display condensers that can meet your required condensing capacity with the specified glycol split.
